Principally a sculptor, working with both assemblage and reductive processes.

My art is grounded in the transformation of a range of natural materials including plaster, paper, wood, fibre, stone, wire and found objects into three-dimensional sculpture. The natural world inspires most of my work, some of which is detailed, and realistic, and others spontaneous and abstract. Ideas and concepts include nests; seeds; cocoons and marine type organisms, often reflecting on themes of loss and resilience, shadow and light. Although there maybe some planning in a sketchbook, my work is usually formed in an intuitive way allowing the materials to dictate the creative process.

Born in Bath, but now living in a village outside the city, I am inspired by the countryside, adore wild landscapes and the coast, loving nothing more than to spend a day beach combing or scouring scrap metal merchants and flea markets for treasures to use back in my home studio.

In addition, I have been Secretary of the Bath Society of Artists since 2016 and was awarded honorary membership in 2023.
